Gardening Articles
Monica Milla has over 20 years' experience as a writer and editor, working primarily in technical and marketing communications for high-tech companies. Over the last several years, Monica has decided that as fun as it is to write about industrial computer systems, automotive powertrains, and the effects of retroreflective materials on pedestrian conspicuity, she also wanted to spend some time writing about something a little closer to her heart and soul, gardening.
Monica has written many gardening articles and the book Fun with Winter Seed Sowing. She also authors two blogs. Full Bloom is published twice a week through MLive (Advance Newspapers) and covers gardening tips, plant info, gardening events, and trips to gardens and garden centers. Garden Faerie's Musings is her personal blog, also primarily about gardening, which often shows what's in blooming in her garden.
Gardening articles that Monica has written include:
- "Rain, Rain, You Can Stay: Rain Gardens Slow Stormwater Runoff and Require Little Watering" (feature story)
- "Rain Gardens: Rain, Rain, You Can Stay" (overview)
- "Fall Gardening"
- "Gardening for Our Feline Friends"
- "Up On The Rooftop Sedums Grow: Malletts Creek Library Green Roof Filters and Absorbs Storm Water"
- "Cobblestone Farm Fountain Garden Gets an 1860's Update"
